BOLIVIA. Cob 4 Reales, 1662-P. Potosi Mint, Assayer Antonia de Ergueta (E). Philip IV. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, VF Details.
KM-18; Cal-1129. Weight: 13.14 gms. A nicely detailed piece with eye-catching golden toning. Though neither partial date on the obverse is definitive, the reverse date is bold and clear. Plenty of other details remain on both sides, and the reverse is pleasingly well-centered. The noted tooling is relegated to a weakly struck area on the reverse periphery, thus it does not affect any of the details and is hardly worthy of attention. An unusual and undoubtedly attention-grabbing piece on account of its vibrant toning, this Cob will reward collectors who take a closer look and notice its well-struck and pleasing detail.
