BOLIVIA. Cob 4 Reales, 1691-P. Potosi Mint; Assayer Pedro de Villar (VR). Charles II. PCGS AU-55.
KM-25; Cal-538. Weight: 13.64 gms. A finely detailed and enticing cob. The well-preserved obverse includes both mintmarks, both assayer's monograms, the denomination, and the central date, all of which are well-struck and entirely legible. The reverse retains its mintmark, assayer's monogram, and date along with the final part of the monarch's name and complete ordinal. The surfaces are toned to a deep gunmetal color, a lovely canvas from which to admire the fullness of this coin's excellent details. A clearly superior cob, sure to attract spirited bidding.
