BOLIVIA. Cob 4 Reales, 1704-P. Potosi Mint; Assayer Diego de Ybarbouru (Y). Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Scrape, EF Details.
KM-30; Cal-1156. Weight: 13.93 gms. This handsome 4 Reales Cob offers plenty of detail. The obverse shows two mintmarks, the denomination, an assayer's initial, and the date with a double-struck middle digit. The noted scrape, evident on the reverse, does not detract from the well-presented castles and lions or the first letters of the monarch's name which appear on the rim. A nicely toned example with no shortage of detail, this piece is a great representative of the date. To view all items from the Pat Johnson Collection, click
