KM-60; Cal-873. An eye-catching 4 Reales piece from the final year of Charles IV's reign. The surfaces are deeply toned with saturated iridescent color that flashes with underlying luster. The portrait is generously detailed and the legends are emboldened by the dark toning that surrounds them. Some minor tooling scratches on the lower crowned shield on the reverse account for the grade, but in this cataloger's opinion, that designation can be safely ignored as the coin is otherwise wholly original.
