S-3767; KM-622.1. Bank of England issue. Type I countermark; bust of George III within oval indent on a 1794-M ME Spain 4 Reales of Charles IV. A well-preserved and elegantly toned piece. The Spanish host coin is pleasingly lustrous and retains sharply detailed devices and legends. The British countermark on the center of the obverse is strongly struck, displaying a fine, albeit tiny, portrait of the king.
