MEXICO. Cob 4 Reales, 1610-Mo. Mexico City Mint, Assayer F. Philip III. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, VF Details.
KM-37.2; Cal-755. Weight: 13.60 gms. This charming Mexico City Cob shows a bold mintmark, assayer, and full date on its obverse to the left of the complete Habsburg shield. The reverse is struck somewhat off-center, thus revealing a large portion of the outer legend including the title "REX". The castles and lions are slightly weak but satisfyingly complete. A small spot of corrosion on the reverse rim accounts for the designation, but hardly detracts from this well-detailed and attractively toned piece.
