MEXICO. Cob 4 Reales, ND (1598-1621)-Mo. Mexico City Mint, Assayer F. Philip III. PCGS Genuine--Corrosion Removed, VF Details.
KM-37.1; Cal-Type-145. Weight: 13.40 gms. This Cob shows a pleasing abundance of detail on its pewter-gray surfaces. The obverse displays a bold mintmark and initial to the left of the Habsburg shield and the reverse shows well-centered castles and lions along with ample portions of the outer legend. The surfaces exhibit some rough patches where corrosion was evidently removed, but the coin presents handsomely overall. To view all items from the Pat Johnson Collection, click here.
