MEXICO. Cob 4 Reales, 1712-Mo. Mexico City Mint, Assayer Jose E. de Leon (J). Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Salt Water Damage, VF Details.
KM-40; Cal-1082. Weight: 12.53 gms. This charmingly crude minor offers a full date along with a mintmark and assayer's initial. The reverse preserves most of the central cross and displays one nicely detailed castle. The coin exhibits areas of dark corrosion and surface smoothing caused by saltwater submersion. A nice shipwreck example of this SCARCE date. To view all items from the Pat Johnson Collection, click
