PERU. Cob 4 Reales, 1690-L. Lima Mint; Assayer Leonardo de Rojas Paramo (R). Charles II. PCGS EF-45.
KM-23; Cal-465. Weight: 13.38 gms. This pleasingly toned cob was struck on a somewhat compact but round flan. Though the obverse is missing some details, it displays a mintmark, denomination, and date with bold legibility. The reverse has some flatness and doubling, but offers a pleasant cross and another mintmark. A pleasing and well-preserved example. To view all items from the Pat Johnson Collection, click
