PERU. Cob 4 Reales, 1705-L. Lima Mint; Assayer Francisco Hurtado (H). Philip V. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, EF Details.
KM-33; Cal-1027. Weight: 13.47 gms. A stately cob with tremendous eye appeal. The flan is compact but pleasingly round, with a well-centered strike. The obverse central devices present all details with boldness and clarity. While the reverse is somewhat double struck and lacks any of its markings save for the mintmark, its central designs are attractively presented. The surfaces are elegantly toned to a deep gunmetal gray. Some spots of corrosive encrustation are responsible for the details designation, but are scarcely noteworthy and do not take away from this coin's considerable charm.
