PERU. Silver Proclamation Medal, 1834. PCGS MS-63.
Fonrobert-9191; Bustamante-834.01. Obverse: Fort by the sea, rising sun to left and sailing ship to right. Reverse: Oak and laurel wreath around legend. Dedicated to General Luis Jose de Orbegoso. This stunning silver medal features dark toning and electric blue luster, giving the obverse scene the look of a stormy night sky over the sea. The devices are strongly struck and sharp, with the obverse just a touch off-center. A SCARCE medal in high grade, this example being the finest certified on the PCGS census.
