Fonrobert-9137. By R. Britton. Struck to commemorate the 1864 congress of South American republics in Lima. Obverse: Inca warrior standing facing, holding sword and scales; to left, locomotive and cornucopia; to right, gear, open book, altar surmounted by llama, and ship at a distance; Reverse: Radiant sun over seven lines; all within wreath of palm frond and laurel branch. This near-Gem offers resplendent luster and light mottled toning. The intricate scene on the obverse is sharply detailed and presented in stunning high relief.
