PERU. Sol, 1869-YB. Lima Mint. PCGS MS-64.
KM-196.3. Variety with Arabic 1. This toned Sol presents a flamboyant display of colors. Vivid hues of burnt orange, electric blue, and magenta swirl around like a kaleidoscope on the obverse. The reverse is deeply toned with fiery reds that flare brightly with the underlying luster. A closer look at the coin justifies its ostentation; it offers crisp Mint State details, finely stuck and uncompromised by wear or flaws. It is difficult to imagine a more eye-catching example of the type.
