SPAIN. Cob 4 Reales, ND (1556-88)-S DD. Seville Mint. Philip II. PCGS MS-61.
Cal-574. Weight: 13.67 gms. A well-struck and impressively preserved 4 Reales piece. While some portions of the outer legends are off-flan, the detail that remains is crisp and exhibits only the lightest handling. The crowned shield on the obverse is particularly satisfying, with each tiny section displaying precise die work. The reverse castles and lions are softly struck in places but are on the whole quite attractive, surrounded by complete octolobes. A wonderful example with top-tier eye appeal.
