KM-36.4. Weight: 13.61 gms. While the date on this sharp Spanish Cob is unfortunately not visible, it must be from either the find year of Philip II or the first two years of Philip III. The compact flan does not reveal any of the outer legend, but does display a pleasingly clear mintmark and assayer. About half the coin shows deep blackish toning that accounts for the designation.
