Obverse: facing portraits of Vernon and Brown, legend around; Reverse: six ships approaching Porto Bello. A pleasing medal commemorating Britain's famous victory over the Spanish. It features gently handled detail and deeply toned chocolate brown surfaces which are free from problems. A quite original example of this attractive medallic issue.
