GUATEMALA. Central American Republic. 8 Reales, 1828-NG M. Nueva Guatemala Mint. PCGS AU-53.
KM-4. Dominant sandy-gray and pewter-gray patina to the obverse, with a band of russet, azure, and pastel blue overtone resting across the upper legend. Both sides are well centered on the planchet, the strike balanced and coming up strong for the issue, particularly in the tree's foliage. Substantial mint luster remaining untouched in the protected areas only serves to enhance this example's strong eye appeal for the grade. A stalwart addition to even the most carefully curated of Central American cabinets.
Estimate: $500 - $750
