HONDURAS. Centavo, "1610" (1910). PCGS MS-62 Brown.
cf. KM-66 (reverse altered KM-45, 1/2 Centavo). A highly intriguing and crude variety where the date is punched as "1610", with the "9" from "1910" fully inverted. The reverse die also retains the "1/2" from KM-45, albeit partially obscured by a "1" punch, which illustrates the correct denomination of this coin. It would be quite interesting for a collector to create a die variety set of all the mistakes and overpunches present in this Honduran series. This piece is toned consistent chocolate brown with well preserved surfaces and a very deep strike revealing all detail.
Estimate: $200 - $400
