HONDURAS. Cent, 1911. Tegucigalpa Mint. PCGS MS-62 Brown.
KM-65. Variety with Centavo spelled CENTAVOS. The finest known survivor of this RARE issuance, and the only example PCGS has graded Mint State. The series is known for its very crude die punching, and this dramatic variety typifies the pseudo-literate mistakes often made by the mint worker who prepared these dies. This example shows warm hazel color on the obverse, while the reverse is only slightly darker. Handling and contact marks are almost impossible to spot, and full luster remains, lighting up when held under a lamp. An ideal example for Honduran afficionados.
