UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. New York. Gardiner's Island. Pattern Trial Obverse Plaster, 1965. EXTREMELY FINE.
Obverse of KMX-PT1/PT3. These islands are the only American real estate still intact from the original grant from the British royal crown. Owned by the Gardiner family and their descendants for nearly 400 years. They are located in Gardiners Bay between the two peninsulas at the eastern end of Long Island. The Franklin Mint Struck pattern sets in 1965 and this plaster matches the obverse for each denomination. A few breaks in paint are noted for completeness.
