AUSTRIAN NETHERLANDS. Taler, 1783-A. Vienna Mint. Joseph II. PCGS MS-62.
Dav-1284; KM-32. An absolutely choice example of a Mint State Taler with lovely original toning and only the most minor of abrasions. A mildly iridescent magenta gray dominates both faces, though the protected areas boast bright viridescence and a few glimpses of russet. The centers on both sides are exceptionally well defined, while the remaining devices are sharp. Given this piece is the single finest known in the PCGS population report, it should garner strong bids when it crosses the auction block.
Estimate: $150 - $200
