Diameter: 34 mm. This Medal was produced by the Vaccination Society in Paris in 1814. The Medal celebrates the cowpox vaccine discovered by Edward Jenner in 1796, which successfully helped eradicate smallpox throughout the world. The smallpox vaccine was the first vaccine ever produced.
