cf. Leitzmann-812; Popken-19. Diameter: 48mm. Obverse: Angel with nimbus crown standing slightly right, holding sword in each hand; trampled skeleton below; draped altar to left, surmounted by skull and crossbones; Reverse: Veduta of Erfurt, with radiant personification of the sun above to left. Though holed at the top, likely for wearing, this otherwise pleasingly toned and highly detailed plague-related medal is VERY RARE and exceedingly desirable.
