KM-16 (Martinique); Prid-20 (Dominica). Type II countermark blunt heart shaped cut-out with ornamental edges. Struck upon a Mexico 1/2 Real 1737, (KM-67.1). KM attributes this coin to Martinique, but it is now believed to be from Gibraltar. In any case, very scarce and virtually never encountered. The Mexican host coin displays strong legends for the grade.
