Founded by William Joseph Chaminade in Bordeaux, France in 1817, the Society of Mary, whose members are known as Marianists, is a congregation within the Roman Catholic church devoted primarily to Christian education. In addition to the usual religious vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, the Society also adds a fourth-a special faithfulness to Mary, for whom they wear a gold ring on their right hand.

Estimate: $100 - $200
