India - Arakan - Candras of Arakan (c. AD349-579) - Yajnacandra, c. 455-462 - AR unit of 64 rattis (7.61 g.) (MSEA 73; MBLA28 (this specimen); type not represented in Mahlo; ZENO296404) - Obv: Bull seated left, with garland, above Yajnacandra / Rev: Srivatsa, flanked by stylized leaf tendrils, moon (crescent) & sun above - a.XF, extremely rare, from the few specimen known, from this coin the correct name could be deciphered, Note: Johnston (1943) originally proposed reading "Yajnacandra" and San Tha Aung (1979, p. 2c) corrected this to "Yitnyacandra". Mitchiner also opted for Yitnyacandra on the basis of the two available coins (1978d. 73-74). Since then the present coin surfaced, which according to Mitchiner, clearly favours the reading "Yajnacandra"
