An incredible rare offering from Iraq, the first Pick number for the country in specimen form. Precious few auction appearances have been recorded for this type. We have offered two issued examples previously, but never a specimen. This example features the first signature combination, a punch hole cancellation and no serial numbers. A skillful repair has enhanced the appearance of this piece, which is not unusual for early specimens such as this. Regardless, the eye-appeal is excellent and this offering represents an important opportunity for the specialist. PMG mentions "Repaired".Â
