Qatar & Dubai ND (ca. 1960) P-6a PMG Extremely Fine 40 100 Riyals
We have offered every denomination of this iconic series previously, except for the 100 Riyals, until now. This is the first time we have offered the iconic highest denomination of this series in a higher grade. According to an article published by Peter Symes in the late 1990s just 5,855 of this denomination remained outstanding back in 1997. While not as low as the 25 and 50 Riyals of the same series (it seems many preferred to hoard cash with this denomination) this can hardly be considered a common type either. PMG mentions "Previously mounted".Â
