Order of merit for distinguished service
Established in 1950, Grand-cross set including cross, in bronze-gilt and enamel, 85 x 54mm, with maker's mark Zuloeta on reverse and breast star, in bronze-gilt and enamel, 80 x 73mm, with maker's mark Zuloeta on reverse. Including diploma in its holder, the letter delivered by the Chancellery as well as the copy of the speech given by the Ambassador of Peru in Portugal during the awarding of the Grand-cross "to Merit for distinguished services".
PROVENANCE: Former Belgian ambassador.
In its case, small stain on ribbon, light knocks to enamel, extremely fine.
