Mesopotamia, Carrhae, Macrinus, (217-218 A.D.), silver tetradrachm, (13.35 g), obv. radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Macrinus to right, legend around, rev. eagle standing facing with head to right, holding wreath in beak, star to upper left, crescent between legs, [two pellets between legs], (S.2973, Prieur 836, BMC 394). Light oxidation deposits on reverse, extremely fine and scarce.
