Justin I and Justinian I (527), AE follis, Constantinople Mint. issued 4 April - 1 August 527 A.D., (14.47 g), obv. Diademed bust cuirassed with paludamentum of Justin I, to right, around [DN] IVS[TIN E I]VSTIN[IAN P AVC, rev. Large M, cross above, stars 6 long points to left and right, cross above right, below officinae E, in exergue CON, (S.125, DOC (11aa), W.-, R.-, H.N4 (Vol.I notes E as a hybrid with similar obverse dies, T.-, BNP.-. Nearly fine and excessively rare.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 117 (lot 4957 part). Previously from Dr. Flynn Collection, coming from Baldwin's with ticket price of �25. Ticket notes the coin from the R.N.Bridge Collection. Lot comes with detailed collector ticket. Clearly an issue as a hybrid of both joint rulers, using a reverse with two stars introduced at the beginning of the reign of Justinian I. the joint rulers using a reverse with one star and cross introduced in the reign of Justin I reign. This specimen from the similar obverse die as the Hahn illustrated specimen.
