George Norrie, medical practitioner being the Medical Officer at Randwick Military Hospital, age 28, born at Grafton, NSW; Enl.15May1916 and commissioned as a Captain in AAMC on 20May1916 with previous militia service with Army Medical Corps; served with M.D. No.2 Section Sea Transport Service; Emb.20May1916 per Karoola from Sydney to Suez, arriving 26Jun1916; RTA 14Aug1916; Disch.13Apr1917 Medically Unfit due to influenza contracted 06Aug1916 while Senior Medical Officer on troopship and resulting in pneumonia; joined Mercantile Marine as a surgeon and served until end of the war; post war Dr Norrie was a dermatologist in Macquarie Street, Sydney, NSW.
