THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 175-150 BC. AR Tetradrachm (34.5mm, 16.91 g, 11h). In the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left, BY on throne, ornate trident in exergue. Marinescu Issue 130, 416 var. (O181/R– [unlisted rev. die]); Müller 213; HGC 3, 1401. Toned, light marks. Good VF. Extremely rare issue, only two tetradrachms noted by Marinescu, with two additional in CoinArchives.
