THRACE, Mesambria. Circa 150-125 BC. AR Tetradrachm (33mm, 16.49 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in inner left field, helmet above monogram; ΠP below throne. Cf. HGC 3, 1568 for type; otherwise, unpublished. Toned, slight doubling on obverse. Good VF. Apparently unique.
