France standing facing, holding winged caduceus and oak branch, resting on arms on crowned coat of arms of Paris and Orleans, each set on base with cornuopias before; steam trains in background; A. BOVY F. in exergue / CHEMIN/DE FER/DE PARIS/A ORLEANS/–––/LOI DU 7 JUILLET/1838. in seven lines; all within oak and laurel wreath. Edge: (hand) and ARGENT. See Naumann 114, lot 1377.
