YORK. Edward IV. First reign, 1461-1470. AR Groat (27mm, 3.79 g, 8h). Heavy coinage, type II. London (Tower) mint; im: rose. Struck 1464. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; fleurs on cusps; crescent on breast, quatrefoils flanking neck / Long cross pattée; triple pellets in quarters. North 1531; SCBC 1972. Deep cabinet toning with a touch of natural find patina, small flan split. Good VF.
