YORK. Edward IV. First reign, 1461-1470. AR Groat (27mm, 3.52 g, 12h). Heavy coinage, type IV. London (Tower) mint; im: rose. Struck 1464. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; fleurs on cusps; quatrefoils flanking neck / Long cross pattée; triple pellets in quarters; eye in legend. North 1533; SCBC 1977. Iridescent toning, weakness on face, excellent surfaces. VF. Rare.
