YORK. Edward IV. First reign, 1461-1470. AR Groat (27mm, 3.07 g, 8h). Light coinage, type Vb. London (Tower) mint; im: rose. Struck 1464-1465. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches; fleurs on cusps; quatrefoils flanking neck / Long cross pattée; triple pellets in quarters; eye in legend. North 1564; SCBC 1997. Iridescent toning. Good VF. Struck from a reverse die from the heavy coinage.
