Thrace, Maroneia AR Tetradrachm. Circa 189/8-49/5 BC. Head of young Dionysos to right, wearing taenia and ivy wreath / Dionysos standing nude to left, holding bunch of grapes, two spears and cloak; ΔIONYΣ[OY] to right, ΣΩTHP[OΣ] to left, monogram to inner left, monogram to inner right, [MAPΩNITΩN] in exergue. Very Fine; weak strike. A rare and interesting variant whereon the engraver appears to have incorrectly incised the inner left monogram.
