Japan Bank of Japan 5 Yen ND (1910) Pick 34 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. An impressive key note from this series, as very few exist today since most were converted to gold coinage. An alluring portrait of Sugawara Michizane is showcased on the front. He was a scholar, poet, and a politician during Japan's Heian Period. His poetry remains highly regarded. Delicate designs and color schemes along with an image of Daikoku was used as the watermark are quite pleasing. An outstanding vignette of the Kitano Tenmangu shrine in Kyoto is exhibited on the back.
