India, Princely States / Hyderabad 1928 P-S266e PMG About UNC 50 EPQ 100 Rupees

Banknotes of the Princely States of India are perhaps not as well known as the contemporary notes of British India, but they are much appreciated by specialists for their beauty and scarcity. This 100 Rupees, issued in Hyderabad, was printed by the British firm of Waterlow & Sons and circulated in the 1920s. It is a large-format note that is quite impressive, with a classic design. This particular example shows light circulation, but, unlike many, still retains full originality. Scarce as such. PMG mentions "Spindle holes at issue".

PMG Population in 50 EPQ: 1 (10 Finer)
