ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.94 g, 12 h), circa 165-150/49. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of four horses above the visor. Rev. Α-ΘΕ Owl standing facing on Amphora; to left, trophy; to right, two monograms; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 37. A well centered example. Very fine.
