ISLANDS OFF IONIA, Chios. Circa 400-380 BC. Drachm (Subaeratus, 13 mm, 2.49 g), a contemporary plated imitation. Sphinx seated left; to left, grape bunch above amphora; all set on circular convex shield. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Mavrogordato 39 (for prototype). Breaks in plating and two scratches, otherwise, fine.
