BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I, circa 170-145 BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.53 g, 12 h), Baktra or an uncertain mint in the Paropamisadai or Gandhara, circa 162-145. Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides I to right, wearing crested Macedonian helmet adorned with bull's horn and ear. Rev. [BA]ΣIΛEΩΣ - [EΥK]ΡATIΔOY Caps of the Dioskouroi, each with palm frond; below, ΠΓ. Bopearachchi 9B. HGC 12, 139. Struck on a slightly short flan, otherwise, good very fine.
