SASANIAN KINGS. Shahpur II, 309-379. Obol (Silver, 15 mm, 0.60 g, 3 h), Mint IX (Kabul). Draped bust of Shahpur II to right, wearing mural crown with korymbos; before head, ŠHPWHLY ('Shahpur' in Pahlawi). Rev. Fire altar with crowned bust in flames to right flanked by two attendants; to left and right, traces of legend. SNS III, pl. 61, 234. Struck from slightly worn dies and harshly cleaned, otherwise, very fine.
