SASANIAN KINGS. Peroz I, 457/9-484. Drachm (Silver, 26 mm, 4.00 g, 3 h), ART (Ardashir-Khurra). MZDYSN BGY KDY PYLWCY ('Worshipper of Lord Mazda, 'God' King Peroz' in Pahlawi) Draped bust of Peroz I to right, wearing mural crown with frontal crescent and korymbos set on crescent. Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants; in upper field to left, five-pointed star; in upper field to right, crescent; in field to right, ART (name of the mint in Pahlawi). SNS III, type IIIb/1e. Minor scratches and struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, good very fine.
