HUNNIC TRIBES, Hephthalites. Circa 484/8-560. Drachm (Silver, 28 mm, 3.13 g, 11 h), anonymous type. Draped and bearded Sasanian style bust to right, wearing the crown of Khosrau I; behind head, PZWNY ('may he increase' in Pahlawi); before head, HWSRWD ('Khosrau' in Pahlawi); in upper field to left, countermark Cm21a. Rev. Sasanian fire altar set on two steps, flanked by two attendants standing facing; in upper field to left, star; in upper field to right, crescent; to left, blundered date; to right, swastika with pellet above and below. Göbl 295. Vondrovec, Type 295. Holed and with light scratches, otherwise, good fine.
