LOCAL ISSUES, Chaganiyan. Late 6th-7th centuries. Drachm (Silver, 24 mm, 2.09 g, 3 h). Crowned and draped Sasanian-style bust to right resembling Khosrau I; in upper field to right, star-in-crescent; in outer margin, three countermarks depicting human heads. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons flanked by two attendants; in upper left field, six-pointed star; in upper right field, crescent; in field to upper left, countermark with legend in Bactrian. Zeno-21369. Beautifully toned. Good very fine.
