Attractive earthen highlights. Light cleaning scratches, otherwise, good fine.


From a European collection, acquired before 2021.

While 'Philopator' and 'Philometor' (respectively 'Father-loving' and 'Mother-loving') are well-known epithets for Greek royalty, this magistrate's name, Philopappos, rather endearingly means 'Grandfather-loving'.
