Elagabalus, 218-222. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 2.66 g, 5 h), Rome, 219. IMP ANTONINVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right, seen from behind. Rev. IOVI CONSERVATORI Jupiter standing front, head to left, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and scepter in his left; at feet to left, eagle standing left, head right; to right, two signa. BMC 140. Cohen -. RIC 89. Thirion 108. Nicely toned and with a fine portrait. Thin flan crack and with minor deposits on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
